Getting Into the CHRISTmas Spirit! (and a few recommendations)

This weekend has been really nice so far!

Last night, we watched The Nativity Story as a family. It was neat to have the fire going, and to cuddle up together on the couch....under cozy blankets....to watch the story of Jesus' birth come to life!

This morning, Hudson and I got to attend the annual Angel Breakfast at church. I will post some pics soon (I hope). My sis and Peytie came, too....and Josh did the pics for it. Bryson was a good helper! The staff goes ALL OUT to make this event so special each year!! We had a delicious breakfast, watched a puppet show, went on a scavenger hunt, made a few crafts, and enjoyed story time. After the breakfast, Josh did some family pics for friends of ours. I sent the boys home with Josh, so that I could sneak over to Yogurtland....alone....solo...sans family. Aaaahhhh.....nice!

Okay....my friend (Tanya) had just told me that Yogurtland is celebrating the "12 Days of Yuletide Yumminess"....and since I hadn't been in months, I decided to go on over to see what today's special flavor was. Drumroll, please....."Brownie Batter." Um.....yum. And their "Snowflake Mint?" Double yum. I added some brownies and Oreo cookies on top.....mmmmmmm. soooo deelish!

The flavor schedule for Yogurtland’s Twelve Days of Yuletide Yumminess is:

December 1 – One Eggnog nogging

December 2 – Two Nuttrbuttrs nipping at your nose

December 3 – Three Blueberry Tarts a-bursting

December 4 – Four Brownie Batters stirring

December 5 – Five S’mores a-melting

December 6 – Six Yuzus yule love

December 7 – Seven Butterfingers brightly shining

December 8 – Eight Chocolate Mint Cookies cooling

December 9 – Nine Tiramisus tingling

December 10 – Ten Chocolate Macaroons a-ringing

December 11 – Eleven White Chocolate Macadamias making merry

December 12 – Twelve Gingerbread yogurts jingling all the way

Tonight, we are babysitting for a friend. Tomorrow, we will attend church and then meet up with our special friends (The Smiths) to go and visit Santa and eat at Ruby's! It's our annual tradition and the kids have so much fun playing together. We get to ride the train and just hang out!!

It's fun to celebrate the CHRISTmas season! The old saying sounds cliche....but it's true....

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

(Think about it....there would be NO Christmas without Him!!)
